WiFi 7 is coming and will require a new family of high-performance filters. If you’ve been keeping up with the latest in technology, you may have heard about the next generation of wireless internet, Wi-Fi 7 or “802.11be.” The technology is still undergoing standardization with an expected release date in 2024. This new standard will offer many improvements over the current Wi-Fi 6 standard, including increased speed, improved performance, lower latency, and simultaneous connection to multiple devices.
As the world becomes more connected, the need for faster and more reliable WiFi grows. Akoustis is excited to announce the release of our new WiFi 6E and 7 Coexistence BAW Filters: the A10655 and the A10665. These high-performance, ultra-wide bandwidth BAW RF Filters can be used for WiFi 6E and 7 applications covering the 5 GHz U-NII-1 thru U-NII-3 bands and 6 GHz U-NII-5 thru 8 bands. Utilizing Akoustis’ patented XBAW® technology, these filters are able to meet the stringent rejection requirements enabling coexistence with 5 and 6 GHz bands and exhibits high-power handling capabilities necessary for the demanding requirements of WiFi 6E and 7 standards.
